Terms of use

Last updated 1 November 2026

Muslim Young Professionals is a volunteer community in Ottawa. This site is free to use. By making an account you agree to these few ground rules.

Be kind and honest

• Use your real name and an email address you own.
• Keep nominations, profiles and links respectful. No hate, harassment, spam or anything illegal.
• One account per person, and one vote per topic.
• Don't try to break, overload or get around the site's protections.

What organisers can do

Organisers may edit, decline or remove nominations and profile details that don't fit these rules, and may suspend or close accounts that keep breaking them. Member-only things, like the WhatsApp invite, are for members only, so please don't share them publicly.

Your content

What you add stays yours. You let us show it on the site so the community can see, vote on and plan around it. You can ask us to remove it at any time.

No guarantees

We run the site as volunteers and do our best, but it's provided as is. It may sometimes be down, and event details can change. We aren't responsible for other websites we link to.

Changes and questions

If we change these terms we'll update the date above. How we handle your information is explained in our privacy page. Questions? Email [email protected].
